Pop-up dog park July 1–Aug. 31 while Pocket Park for Pups closed for maintenance

Queen Creek’s Pocket Park for Pups is a heavily used and popular facility. The heavy use has a cumulative effect on the site; specifically on the ability for turf to grow. The closure will allow staff to recondition the soil and conduct deep watering, giving the roots time to strengthen and grow deeper into the soil. Deeper, healthier roots promote turf growth even with heavy use.

A pop-up dog park will be available July 1 through Aug. 31 at Founders' Park while summer maintenance is being performed at the Town of Queen Creek's Pocket Park for Pups

The pop-up dog park will be located on the north side of Founders' Park, located at 22407 S. Ellsworth Road. There will be a designated area for small/timid dogs and a separate area for large/active dogs.

Pop-up dog park parking:

  • Parking for the small dog area will be in the northwest parking lot (access from Ellsworth Road or Aldecoa Road).

  • Parking for the large dog area will be in the Aldecoa lot (east side of the park, access from Aldecoa Road).

Pop-up dog park hours:

The pop-up dog park will have the same hours of operation as the Pocket Park for Pups.

  • All days except Tuesdays: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

  • Tuesdays: noon to 10 p.m.
