Pedal Haus Brewery impacting craft brewing community

Arizona brewery received 10 beer awards in 2023

In the seven years since taping its first keg, Pedal Haus Brewery has had impressive growth and success. The brewery has made an notable accomplishment – it received its 10th award this year and 46th since 2016

Since 2016, Pedal Haus has won 17 gold medals from 13 national or international beer competitions, including the North American Beer Awards, Great American Beer Festival, Copa Cervezas de Americas and Arizona Craft Beer Awards. The Day Drinker Light Lager has won the most medals at seven. Additionally, Pedal Haus was named the Best U.S. Brewery in 2019 at the Copa Cervezas de Americas and Brewery of the Year 2023 from the Arizona Craft Beer Awards.

"I am really proud of our brewing team for their tireless work and dedication to making great beer,” said Julian Wright, founder of Pedal Haus Brewery. “On behalf of our whole team it's really nice to be recognized by our peers. Cheers!"

The brewing team, led by Wright and Derek “Doc” Osborne, proudly craft all beer out of Pedal Haus’ brewing facility in Chandler. The brewery makes a dozen beers with several seasonal flavors throughout the year, such as Pumpkin Ale and Peppermint Porter. Guidelines that define beer styles are standardized by the Brewers Association, Beer Judge Certification Program and the North American Beer Association. While the Pedal Haus team brews “true to style,” Doc notes that brewing beer is an art and form of self-expression.

"The Arizona Craft Brewers Guild celebrates Pedal Haus Brewing's success in beer competitions, recognizing their achievements as a testament to Arizona's brewing excellence,” said Andrew Bauman, deputy director of the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild. “Their victories uplift the entire state's craft brewing scene, setting a high standard for quality and inspiring innovation among all breweries in Arizona."

Pedal Haus Brewery celebrated its seventh anniversary this year and renovated the Tempe location, its first. There are also locations in downtown Chandler, Phoenix and at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport with plans to open in downtown Mesa in 2024.
