Mesa Music Festival connects musicians with industry pros this weekend

In addition to music, the festival offers a vendor village, food and beverage trucks, beer garden and art activations. Attendees can stroll along Main Street, stopping to listen to different styles of music, discovering new musicians, watching artists create their works, shopping and enjoying food and drinks from vendors and downtown restaurants.

The Mesa Music Festival this weekend – which kicked off Thursday with conferences and workshops for industry professionals and musicians, followed by two days of free live music – has become the premier emerging artist festival in Arizona.

In its sixth season, the Mesa Music Festival helps artists connect with the public, other artists and industry professionals. This festival celebrates all forms of art, especially music.

On Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15 attendees can expect a vibrant atmosphere in downtown Mesa with headliner Everclear (popular songs include "Santa Monica," "Father of Mine" and "I Will Buy You a New Life") and other local or visiting bands (Autopilot, Kanak, Dorsten, Christopher Shayne and more) playing on over 20 free music stages.

The Mesa Music Festival will also offer free one-on-one mentoring sessions with industry professionals on topics to include writing, recording, performing, booking, entertainment law and marketing.

“The impact of the festival is substantial for Arizona musicians, local businesses and the community at large,” said Nancy Hormann, president of the Downtown Mesa Association. “With artists and participants joining from across the globe, Mesa is truly establishing itself as a music city.”
