The craft beverage scene continues to grow in Mesa with new downtown brew stops and the 4th annual Copper State Beer Festival returning to Riverview Park on January 18, 2025. The Copper State Beer Festival will have more than 100 premium craft beverage vendors, many of which are based in the East Valley.
It’s no secret that downtown Mesa has an extraordinary craft brewery scene. The newest breweries to Main Street are Pedal Haus Brewery and Phantom Fox Beer Company, both recently joining the six other breweries and cideries located in downtown Mesa.
At the festival, attendees can explore Mesa Row, which will feature Mesa vendors like Pedal Haus Brewery, praised for its award-winning German-Style Pilsner, and 12 West Brewing Co., celebrated for its West Coast IPA, Frontside—both of which earned gold at the Arizona Craft Beer Awards. Participants also have the opportunity to win a prize by checking into the Mesa breweries via Visit Mesa’s digital passport. Find the Visit Mesa booth at the festival for more information.
Keep an eye out for these Mesa vendors participating in the festival:
-
12 West Brewing Co. is downtown Mesa’s two-story brewery that offers beer, wine and cocktails alongside a plentiful pub menu.
-
Arizona Distilling Co. was the first to legally distill liquor in the state since Prohibition with its flagship Copper City Bourbon.
-
Chupacabra Taproom was last year’s co-brewer of Visit Mesa’s limited-edition Spectrum IPA and is downtown Mesa’s longest running taproom.
-
Pedal Haus Brewery opened its doors in Mesa this year as it finished transforming a former auto shop on Main Street into a new kind of pit stop.
-
Phantom Fox Beer Co., a craft brewery and restaurant is owned by the same pair that opened Chupacabra Taproom in 2019. This concept opened in the historic brick building that used to house Mesa’s first-ever craft brewery.
Additional vendors will be announced closer to the event.
Festival goers can also explore a fully curated selection of 60+ breweries/cideries, 10+ distilleries, 5+ wineries/meaderies and more. Local food trucks, live entertainment and lawn games will also be available for attendees. New this year will be a Silent Disco, presented by Disco Cherry Productions. Keep an eye out for Mesa For All’s sensory table that will have sensory bags, Hidden Disability Sunflower Lanyards and more information on the nonprofit’s mission toward accessibility and inclusivity in Mesa.
