A groundbreaking ceremony for the Queen Creek Unified School District's third high school took place on Aug. 30.

Members of the QCUSD Governing Board and of the Town of Queen Creek were in attendance to celebrate this momentous occasion, including Superintendent Dr. Perry Berry and High School No. 3's principal, Elyse Torbert.

The newest QCUSD high school will be built in phases and, at completion, will be 300,000 square feet, have five soccer fields, one full high school auditorium, several career academies, and full athletic amenities.

"Queen Creek’s third high school will welcome hundreds, and potentially thousands, of young people from our great community to their new home away from home," says Principal Torbert.

The third high school is located at 21942 E. Riggs Road, between Ellsworth road and Rittenhouse roads, with the entrance off Riggs and Crismon roads. It is scheduled to open in the 2022–2023 school year.
