Arizona event promotion company Forty8 Live! is bringing back CANACOPIA this weekend, an age 18-plus festival where patrons are encouraged to let loose, dance to the beat and sip on ready-to-drink canned spirits, seltzers, craft beers and wine.
The outdoor event will be from 3 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Mesa’s Riverview Park, located at 2100 W. Rio Salado Pkwy. It will feature live musical performances by renown DJs Dillon Francis, SG Lewis (DJ set), BONNIE X CLYDE and more. Festival goers will be able to stay cool and vibe at designated shaded “Chill Zones.”
“This is not just a concert – it’s a transformative experience that will leave you uplifted, energized, and with memories that will last a lifetime,” said Keith Raab, director at Forty8 Live!.
Since rising to prominence in the 2010s, music producer Dillon Francis’ diverse catalog explores everything from head-spinning dance music to brash rap and chilled-out reggae. His collaboration with fellow artist DJ Snake on the track “Get Low” was certified platinum, “Coming Over” with Kygo (featuring artist James Hersey) was RIAA-certified gold and topped Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart, “Sexo” with artist Residente was RIAA-certified Latin gold, and “Anywhere” (featuring Will Heard) ranked No 1 on Dance Radio Airplay.
English singer-songwriter SG Lewis began creating atmospheric electronic music and remixes in 2015 with his debut EP “Shivers.” He has collaborated with artists like Dua Lipa, Timbaland, Common, The Neptunes, Gallant, Ray BLK and Bishop Nehru to produce chart-topping club hits in the United Kingdom. Lewis recently released his latest LP, “AudioLust & HigherLove,” in early 2023. He currently has over 4 million monthly Spotify listeners.
BONNIE X CLYDE is a dynamic American dance duo comprised of DJs Paige Lopynski and David Litman. Specializing in a unique mix of pop, trap and bass, the duo has accumulated 35 million streams. BONNIE X CLYDE’s debut EP track, “Bass Jam,” dominated SiriusXM’s dance music charts in 2017, and the group has since seen their track “Need Ya” reach No. 1 on the Dance Radio charts and No. 2 on Billboard Dance charts.
