For many, these educators are more than just teachers; they are legends. That’s why the J.O. Combs Unified School District proudly joins schools across the state in celebrating Legendary Teacher Day on Thursday, Sept. 26.
This special day is about more than just reflecting on our past teachers; it’s about recognizing the ongoing impact that educators have on our students and communities. In Arizona, Northern Arizona University has taken the initiative to honor these legendary teachers, and our district is proud to participate by selecting twenty teachers who exemplify the qualities of dedication, innovation, and excellence in education.
The teachers selected to represent our district this year come from all grade levels and disciplines. They include both veteran educators who have spent decades shaping young minds and new teachers who bring fresh energy and ideas into the classroom. By honoring teachers from such a diverse array of backgrounds, we highlight the breadth of experience and passion that exists within our schools.
