Vestar, one of the leading privately held shopping center owners and managers in the western United States, announced today the arrival of major retailers coming to new development, Queen Creek Crossing. Totaling more than 400,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, the addition of these new tenants will bring the center to 100% leased.
The premier shopping destination, anchored by Costco, will begin opening Phase 2 tenants by the end of 2023, starting with Ashley Furniture Home Store. The leading retailer in the home furnishing industry will occupy 45,000 square feet and will be the first to open their doors on Friday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. Smoothie King, Gallery Nails and Desert Financial are set to join shortly after in January 2024. Arts and crafts retailer Hobby Lobby will be located within a 55,000-square-foot space, scheduled to open in March 2024.
The remaining Phase 2 tenants will open spring through fall of 2024. BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, ONO Hawaiian BBQ and The Habit Burger Grill are currently under construction and will be ready to serve the Queen Creek community by November 2024. Also opening next year will be Sleep Number, Batch Cookies, Advanced Orthodontics, Well Groom Pets and Natural Pediatrics.

Queen Creek ranks as one of the fastest-growing suburban areas in the nation, part of the expanding Phoenix metropolitan area. Greater Phoenix experienced the largest population gain in the U.S. in 2022, according to Census Bureau data.
Queen Creek Crossing is one of five ground-up projects Vestar is developing in Arizona. Vineyard Towne Center, Verrado Marketplace, Laveen Towne Center and The Shops at Lake Pleasant are also underway.
