To celebrate its local grand opening, Sole Sports is hosting a "Kickoff Party" that starts at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 13 with a "Kickoff 5K Fun Run/Walk" from the store. Then from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow's grand opening at the store will continue with special discounts and giveaways; 15% discounts on all footwear, apparel and accessories; free gifts with footwear purchases; free 3D foot scans and $50 custom-molded insoles; food and drink samples from its brands and local vendors will also be available at the event.

Browsing at Sole Sports is an experience that offers best-in-class service quality products and tireless support to help customers cross the finish line when it comes to footwear and running apparel. The team prides themselves in being the antidote to large brand name department stores and online shopping.

“We are so pleased to announce another Sole Sports opening in the Valley,” said co-owner Karen McDonnell, who has been in the running retail industry since 2007. “We love our customers and have a passion for getting the community together to run and socialize. We hope to continue to motivate people to get outside, whether that’s running, hiking or walking.”

Co-owner Lance Muzslay is just as excited as his business partner.

“Karen and I are so happy to watch this new store go up and serve a new community,” he said. Muzslay has owned and operated stores in specialty running shoes since 2002. His background in software development has been helpful in the overall efficiency of inventory management for the running industry.
