Nando's Queen Creek celebrates 3-year anniversary March 5 with happy hour drinks

"We love our regulars and we love giving back to the community that has supported us," said Nando's Queen Creek Manager Blake Phillips, who's been with the company for 14 years. "I came over here from our Chandler location last August and love it out here in Queen Creek."

It's been three years since Nando's Mexican Cafe opened in Queen Creek and today they're inviting the community to come celebrate an extended happy hour with them.

From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on March 5, Nando's in Queen Creek is offering happy hour drinks to patrons as a "thank you for your support this year" celebration. Like many area restaurants, Nando's was challenged with the COVID pandemic shortly after opening, making today's birthday party celebration even more meaningful to the staff.

"We love our regulars and we love giving back to the community that has supported us," said Nando's Queen Creek Manager Blake Phillips, who's been with the company for 14 years. "I came over here from our Chandler location last August and love it out here in Queen Creek."

The Sonoran-style Mexican restaurant strives to be "a place with food to remember ...  From the traditional family recipes shared with Nando by both his step-dad, Alfred (may he rest in peace and tacos), and his mom (Nana), to the design of the restaurant – Nando’s has strived to become your local family joint. To this day, many of our original Nando’s employees remain with us and have become 'Our Nando’s Family' – truly making family our main ingredient."

Nando's began in 2003, opening its first location in Gilbert. Next, they opened their Mesa location in 2009 during the Great Recession, Chandler in 2012, and then Queen Creek in 2019 before the pandemic. Through it all, Nando’s commitment to quality food and superior service in a comfortable atmosphere has remained the same all these years.

They pride themselves in being locally owned and operated. Their website says, "We want Nando’s to be the restaurant your family visits to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and the like. We do everything possible to incorporate and support the local community, which is often. From our craft beer selection, tortillas, meats and produce to fundraising and volunteering, we are always looking for more ways to support our local community. In the words of long-time employee Roberto Garnica, 'Thank you for your cooperation.'”

Nando's is located at 20734 E. Victoria Lane in Queen Creek.
