Queen Creek residents can enjoy a meal from the Lone Spur Café, a cowboy-themed restaurant offering a wide range of meal choices from omelets to cheeseburgers.
The Queen Creek location opened this past summer on July 12. They employee 30 people at the restaurant.
Queen Creek was chosen for a Lone Spur Cafe location because of its hometown feel.
“In this area we have noticed it is more of that country feel, that hometown farm feel, and we thought it would be best to make everyone feel at home when they come in,” said General Manager Ryan Whitehead.
In addition to the Queen Creek location, there are three other Lone Spur Café locations in Arizona. They are in Scottsdale, Flagstaff and Prescott. Restaurants will open in Apache Junction and Pinetop by next May and a location is set to open in Mesa in mid-December.
There are also Lone Spur Café locations in Colorado, New Mexico and Texas.
Lone Spur Café is open from 6:30 to 2 a.m.
“We provide a perfect cowboy culture taste," Whitehead said. "We have country fried steaks, burgers and ribeye steaks. It’s just some really good food. Come on down.”
The Queen Creek location is at 22002 S. Ellsworth Road. The building is about 75 years old and it was the original Ellsworth Brothers Gas Station. The sign for the restaurant is still for the Queen Creek Café and Sports Lounge because they are waiting for the Lone Spur Café sign to be finished.
